Letters to Parents

Dear Parents,
With the last
days of May rapidly approaching, I need to let you know of some very
important dates and happenings.
-
May 28 – The last day for ordering Market Day for the entire year.

May 30 – Preschool Celebration at 10:00 AM. This is the last day for Preschool this school year.
VERY IMPORTANT PARENT MEETING AT 7 PM! ALL PARENTS with students in grades K-7 need to attend. Your presence is needed. -
May 31 – Olympic Day – All students are involved – gym uniform is the dress code for the day.

June 3 – Last Market Day pick-up – WE CANNOT HOLD ANY ORDERS – Please arrange to have your order picked up between 4:30-5:30 PM.
June 5
– Kindergarten Celebration at 10 AM in the Auditorium –
Kindergarten’s last day of school.
Eighth Grade Graduation – Mass begins at 6 PM at St. Fidelis.
June 6
– Last Day for Students in Grades 1-7 – NOON DISMISSAL.
June 8
– Golf Outing at Lake Arthur Country Club.
June
10
– Vacation Bible School at St. Michael begins.
June
19
– Used Uniform Sale – We need a coordinator for this event to
set it up - run it and put it away.
Please call the School Office by Friday, May 31, if you
are willing to do this.
Sale is 5-7 PM in the gym.
Beginning
June 10, the roof replacement and new window installation
preparation will begin.
Yes, it is really going to happen.
Dumpsters and equipment will be placed in the upper parking
lot and the back lot.
Therefore, the upper lot will have very
limited access. The
School Office will be “open for business” from 8:30 AM – Noon every
day. Front doors
will be open, parking may be “more secure” in the lower lot.
We are planning to move the paper bins to the lower lot – so
keep the newspapers coming.
The National
Catholic Education Association Convention is in Pittsburgh for the
first time in history.
All Catholic School personnel are expected to be there every day
during the week of April 21-25, 2014.
Therefore our School Calendar will not necessarily mirror
that of Butler Area School District.
Here are the dates that you need to know:

August 22, 2013 – SCHOOL BEGINS – NOON DISMISSAL

August 23, 2013 – Full Day of School

December 23, 2013 – Christmas Break

January 6, 2014 – School Resumes

April 17, 2014 - Holy Week

April 28, 2014 – School resumes

June 6, 2014 – Last Day of School (dependent on snow days)
The “Back-to
School-Night” will take place before school begins, the exact date
to be determined by summer work.
Thank you for

remember to continue to purchase “BC Bucks” the May sales have been
VERY LOW so far – this helps keep tuition increases minimal.
