BCS Celebrates Another Successful Year!

Butler Catholic School is officially on summer break! The last few weeks have been filled with lots of exciting achievements and events as we celebrate the end to another wonderful year.

Preschool and Kindergarten Celebrations
This year’s preschool and kindergarten classes recognized their successful completion of their 2023-2024 school year by having special celebrations with their families!

Our preschool families were treated to wonderful musical performances around the theme “God Made Everything” from Shannan Dorcy and Tonya Briggs’ classes May 29 and 30 in the BCS auditorium. Our kindergarten families gathered for an exciting performance of musical numbers and poems from Beth Stoops and Traci Ritson’s classes June 5!

Following the celebrations, students received certificates of completion from principal John Hazur and enjoyed refreshments with their families before going home for the summer.

Olympic Day
Olympic Day is a much-loved tradition at BCS! To celebrate the end of school, students spend a day participating in a variety of field games that allow them to collaborate and compete as classes! This year’s Olympic Day was June 3 and included attractions such as a dunk tank, pool noodle javelin throwing, minigolf, and more! We’re especially thankful for the volunteers and staff who made this year’s Olympic Day so memorable.

Grade 8 Honors Night and Graduation
The end of the school year includes special recognition of our eighth graders, who are graduating from BCS to move on to different high schools.

We celebrated the eighth-grade class of 2024 June 4 and 5, with honors night and our annual eighth grade graduation mass being held respectively. This year’s mass was held at St. Conrad’s Church, followed by dinner and fellowship for our eighth graders and their families. We’re so proud of all the things they’ve worked hard to accomplish over the years at BCS! We are excited to see what their futures hold, and we wish them the best as they move on to high school.

It's been an exciting school year, and we can’t wait to see students return this fall! We wish our families and staff safe, happy, healthy, and holy summer breaks.

Summer hours for the BCS office are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
