Butler Catholic School students participated in the annual Blessing of Pets Oct. 4!
Celebrated in honor of the feast day of St. Francis, patron saint of animals, the event was led by All Saints Parish’s Deacon Mitch Natali and the BCS fourth grade. Fourth grade families were invited to bring their pets to a special blessing at the BCS grotto. Students in other grades were encouraged to participate by bringing a favorite stuffed animal or photo of their own pets.
The Blessing of Pets shows students how treasured God’s creatures are. As we celebrate fall and prepare for the winter months, we strive to remember God’s world was created to be shared by all!
