National Read Across America Day—or Dr. Seuss Day—takes place every year on March 2, Dr. Seuss' birthday!
Butler Catholic School celebrated the event March 4 and 5. On Monday, students were invited to dress like their favorite Dr. Seuss character. On Tuesday, staff and students were encouraged to wear crazy hats and socks. Throughout the week, classes participated in special activities celebrating Dr. Seuss and the joys of reading. Kindergarten even tried green eggs and ham Wednesday morning, cooked at school especially for them!
