Emily Leyland/Sarah Kasunic Memorial Scholarship winners announced

We’re proud to announce this year’s winners of the all new Emily Leyland/Sarah Kasunic Memorial Scholarship! Eighth graders Brendan Eicher and Katy Short and seventh grader Cameron Dorcy earned $1,000 each to go toward this year’s tuition.

The scholarship was launched this summer through an All Saints Parish 5K. The community race included runners from all over and celebrated the lives of Emily Leyland and Sarah Kasunic, former BCS graduates who were lost too soon.

“The 5K was such a great community experience,” said Principal Sister John Ann Mulhern. “It was wonderful all the way around.”

To apply for the scholarship, students had to fill out an application, write an essay, and complete a committee interview.

Applications for next year’s scholarships will be open in the spring for students going into seventh and eighth grades during the 2023-24 school year.
