Butler Catholic School students return to classes Aug. 24! To help families get into the swing of things, we're excited to offer lots of fun events leading up to our first day....
Farm-to-Table Dinner The second-annual BCS Farm-to-Table Dinner at the Woods at Eisler Farms was a spectacular event Aug. 15!
With a menu curated by local chef Bill Atkinson centered on produce from the BCS garden and musical entertainment provided by local artist Tom Panei, the dinner was a beautiful way to celebrate the strides we’ve made in our agricultural programing at school. The dinner also provides us with a special setting in which we can celebrate the BCS community, our supporters, and the families we’re dedicated to serving!
Kindergarten Kick-Off New and returning families were invited to participate in our annual Kindergarten Kick-Off Aug. 17. Hosted each year in the BCS gym, this event introduces kindergarten students to some of the things they’ll be doing throughout the year.
Mr. Fred Skrocki—known around school as Coach Sky—led the fun this year by teaching our new kindergarteners fun gym games that help them learn teamwork and focus. Families also had the chance to meet each other while they enjoyed picnic dinners brought from home.
We are looking forward to seeing everything our kindergarten class of 2024 accomplishes this year!
Ice Cream Social The BCS Ice Cream Social had another successful return Aug. 18, just in time for school!
Volunteers from the BCS Parent-Teacher Group dished up ice cream—courtesy of Mazzanti’s Beans & Cream—for students and their families to craft their own sundaes, giving them the opportunity to stop and catch up with each other before the start of school. After receiving their 2022-23 yearbooks, students also spent the evening autographing books and looking back at last year’s achievements!
Summer brings some much-needed rest for our busy staff, families, and students. Now, we can’t wait to dive into another school year together!
