Local author visits BCS!

June 5, 2023Butler Catholic School recently had a special visit from local children’s author Mike Bezilla!
Mr. Bezilla made a return visit to Mrs. Cosme’s third grade class to share his latest book, The Adventures of Michael John: Space Race! Previously, Mr. Bezilla visited second and third grade students during the 2021-22 school year to read and discuss The Adventures of Michael John: X Marks the Spot. The book tells the story of young Michael John as he follows a special map to find his lost treasure, a birthday gift from Pap Pap.
His latest book in the Adventures of Michael John series, which follows Michael John on his quest through space, was a hit with Mrs. Cosme’s class.
“The students were thrilled to meet and chat with a local author and hear him read his latest book!” Mrs. Cosme said.
After having the opportunity to talk to Mr. Bezilla about the book and his writing process, the third graders are eagerly looking forward to Michael John’s next adventure.
“We can’t wait for more in the series to be published!” Mrs. Cosme added.
