Staggering start dates not only allowed families to adjust to a new school routine. It also provided our youngest BCS students with additional support as they made new connections settling into their classrooms. Parents were able to accompany students to their rooms on the first day to ensure they were ready to learn.
“They’re excited down there!” said Principal Sister John Ann Mulhern. “We can’t wait to see them grow and develop as learners.”
Since broadening our early childhood programming last year to offer families an all-new 5-day 4-year-old preschool class, BCS has seen many families take advantage of our expanded approach to learning. Offering additional days in the classroom helps students retain more information faster, making room for new academic experiences that prepare them for kindergarten.
As we dive into the 2022-23 school year, it’s important to remember BCS has a rolling admissions policy and there are still some seats open in our preschool and kindergarten classes. To discover the difference a BCS education makes, please contact the school at 724-285-4276.
