The end of May is a special time for preschoolers at Butler Catholic!
As they prepare for preschool graduation, students learn some important final lessons that get them ready for returning to BCS as kindergarteners in the fall. One of those lessons is measuring—which can be especially exciting! By using everyday objects like crayons and unifix cubes, students recently had the opportunity to see how their hands, feet, and heights ‘measured up’ against things in their classrooms.
“They loved this and proceeded to measure everything in the room,” said preschool teacher Mrs. Briggs. “Including their teachers!”
Students celebrated all the things they learned and did this year during special graduation ceremonies May 31 and June 1. With family, friends, and teachers present, students performed several song and dance numbers in the BCS auditorium showing off their kindergarten-ready skills! After, they enjoyed special treats and gifts that marked their accomplishments.
We’re so proud of all our students as they move on to the next levels of their education!
