The halls of Butler Catholic School buzzed with anticipation Aug. 24 as students returned to classes! After a restful and exciting summer, we’re so happy to be catching up with our current BCS families and getting to know new ones.
John Hazur, our new school principal, said he appreciates the warm welcome he received from the BCS community in the weeks leading up to the first day of school.
“I want to express my gratitude,” Mr. Hazur explained. “I am very much looking forward to the students returning!”
To celebrate the new academic year, Mr. Hazur treated students to a surprise ice cream break during their first day back! Volunteers helped Mr. Hazur scoop while students took the opportunity to talk to classmates about their summer experiences and their plans for the 2023-24 year.
New developments in school operations means students continue to have access to incredible learning opportunities, including—among other things—expansive technology curriculum; an ever-growing environmental and agricultural pilot program; and steadfast courses rooted in Gospel teachings.
There’s lots on the horizon at BCS. As we forge ahead, we continue to keep our eyes focused on the Gospel while we rise to new challenges and celebrate our accomplishments.
“I am looking forward to an exciting year ahead!” Mr. Hazur concluded.
