“Being a leader in Catholic education is a unique position. It requires us to not only lead lives of integrity and work as team builders, but to also be adaptable. I want to make sure that I lead with prayer, always keep clear the mission, empower others, and promote a Catholic culture in which our faith permeates not just our lives, but the lives of everyone that we touch each day.”
Personal and Professional BackgroundI have spent the last 13 years in Catholic education as a teacher in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, teaching students in fourth through eighth grade. My first job was at St. Joseph School in Verona—where I was a student years before! My sixth grade teacher retired and I took over for her. It was an amazing experience!
Growing up with strong academic role models is part of the reason I wanted to go into education. The example my grandfather set is the main reason I decided to pursue my teaching degree through Indiana University of Pennsylvania and my principal certification and master’s through California University of Pennsylvania.
In my free time, I love spending time with my wife, Jessica, and our daughter, Sophia; visiting parks; watching football and baseball; and working with antique cars. I’m thrilled to be joining the amazing BCS family this year and leading our faculty and staff into the future!
Learning about the staff, students, and parents of BCS, it's easy to see why people are drawn to this community. The support and volunteerism that keeps BCS running smoothly is unmatched in the larger Butler region, and I believe it's what makes BCS a beacon of Catholic education. I've heard so many amazing things about this group!
