“I believe students learn best by enjoying what they are doing. It is not rare for my class to be up and moving. I believe students who actively participate in classroom activities will retain far more of what they are taught.”
Personal and Professional Background
I have been teaching at Butler Catholic School for over 10 years. I earned my B.A. in Spanish from Seton Hill University with certificates in Elementary and Special Education. I studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain, and incorporate my travel experience into my Spanish lessons.
I have been married for 11 years, and my husband and I are both from Butler. Our daughter now attends BCS and we love that she is receiving a faith-based education. We belong to All Saints Parish in Butler. My favorite prayer is the Act of Contrition because it is based on one of our most powerful ideals as Catholics, that God forgives all.
Outside of the classroom I love to spend time with my family, read and travel!
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
Butler Catholic is special because the students not only receive a fantastic education, but they get to also study their Catholic faith. Prayer is incorporated into every aspect of our curriculum so that it becomes natural for students to use their faith in their daily lives.
