Personal and Professional Background

Butler Catholic School was my first full-time teaching job, and I am now in my tenth year of teaching. I was born and raised in Brookville, PA, where I attended Brookville Area Schools.

After deciding I would like to become a teacher, I chose Slippery Rock University to continue my education. I graduated from SRU summa cum laude and received elementary, early childhood, middle school math, and middle school English teaching certificates. I continued my education at Slippery Rock University where I completed my Master’s Degree in Special Education.

When I am not in the classroom, I love spending time with my husband, our two daughters, and our families.

I also enjoy painting, exercising, or relaxing with a good book. I am a member of St. Faustina Parish in Slippery Rock, and my favorite prayer is the Nicene Creed because I proclaim all that I believe in as a Catholic.

What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
What I feel especially benefits the students at BCS are the small class sizes. As a teacher, I am able to work one-on-one with students to ensure they are each working to the best of their ability.

Working with the students of Butler Catholic has been such a positive experience. I look forward to many more years at this school, and I believe Butler Catholic will continue to grow well into the future. With rising enrollment, a positive community, and family support, it will continue to provide the quality education it has since 1969.
