“I love teaching music. I became a music teacher to pass on my knowledge and passion for music to students. I wish to give students a place where they can express themselves.”
Personal and Professional Background
This is my seventh year teaching at Butler Catholic School. I currently teach all grades at BCS general music. I also teach at Christ the Divine Teacher Catholic Academy in Aspinwall. I currently play organ/piano at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Cabot, as well.
I grew up in Butler and attended Butler Area High School. I graduated summa cum laude from Slippery Rock University, with a major in Music Education/Piano and a minor in Flute.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my family and dog, watching movies, and teaching piano lessons. I also spend a lot of time going for Model T car rides with my husband.
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
I like that Butler Catholic School has smaller class sizes. I also love the students and faculty. The students here are so respectful to everyone. You can definitely see a differences in their behaviors compared to public school students. It is a great learning environment for everyone to become closer to God.
