“Learning should be a fun and exciting experience for all children! I want every child to be excited to walk through the school doors to see what new adventures in learning await them. If that can be established at a young age, then hopefully it will continue with their lifelong learning.”
Personal and Professional Background
I have been a preschool teacher at BCS since 2017. I am a high school graduate of Butler Area School District, and received an Associate’s degree in Elementary Education from Butler County Community College. I continued my education at Slippery Rock University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Early Childhood, as well as a Minor in Dance. After graduation I taught in a Montessori school for two and a half years before choosing to stay home to raise my newborn son.
When I am not at Butler Catholic School, I am in the dance studio. I have been teaching various styles of dance and acrobatics at SheLor School of Dance for over 20 years.
I reside in Butler with my husband, son, and identical twin daughters. We are members of All Saints Parish, and are so proud to be part of the Butler Catholic family.
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
Butler Catholic School is so much more than an academic education. All the children that attend BCS learn morals, values, and responsibility as well as receiving a fabulous education. The smaller class sizes allow the teachers to really understand the needs of each student to help them reach their fullest potential. An education that is based on faith produces a well-rounded student that will have great success in the future.
