“As a teacher, it is my job to instill a love of learning and faith in my students. Everything that I do in the classroom supports this love and helps the students to fulfill their God-given potentials.”
Personal and Professional Background
I have been teaching at BCS since 2011. I first taught four-year-old all-day and the three-year-old half-day preschool. I have been teaching second grade since 2012, and I am still loving it! I earned my Bachelors of Science in Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania.
As a teacher, I have developed a series of beliefs:
Outside the classroom, my free time is spent with my family and friends. My husband Shane and I are both from Butler, and we are the proud parents of two boys, Liam and Connor. They keeps us busier than we could have ever dreamed!
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
There are many things that I love about BCS that make it so special. I love the family atmosphere that we have here. It is like we are all one big happy family! I love that we can pray together and teach our faith. Also, I love our school lunches!
Over the next five years, I hope to see BCS as one of the top innovative Catholic schools in the area.
