“Teaching young children a love of learning, building children’s self-esteem, and increasing each child’s confidence level is essential for future success in school.”
Personal and Professional Background
This is my eleventh year teaching preschool at Butler Catholic. I am an alumna of Butler Catholic School, and I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. I taught preschool elsewhere for several years, and I taught kindergarten for three years in Tucker, GA.
Outside the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and two children, Savannah and Evan. I attend All Saints Parish, and my favorite prayer is Angel of God because it’s nice to know you are not alone – an angel has been assigned to guide you through each day in the big things, as well as the small.
What Do You Feel Makes Butler Catholic Special?
I believe Butler Catholic succeeds at fostering a child’s love of school and love of God. I am so glad to be back at my alma-mater, and the best thing about it is working with the wonderful preschool students. Each of them is so special in their own way. They keep me on my toes and make each day an adventure! They are a blessing! I am also thankful for the preschool parents who are a great support and pretty terrific as well!
Butler Catholic will continue to be a place that provides children, in our ever changing society, with a “God Centered” place to learn and grow.
