"All battles are first won or lost in the mind." - St. Joan of Arc
Personal and Professional Background
I graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2018 with a degree in English and minor in journalism. As a high school student growing up in Knox, Pa., I started stringing for local newspapers and continued reporting while earning my degree.
Following my graduation from CUP, I moved to Butler to join the Butler Eagle staff in the Cranberry Bureau. There, I covered government, healthcare, and education beats. After almost two years of reporting on the 2020 presidential election and the COVID-19 pandemic, I decided to leave the newsroom in 2021 to pursue other interests while evaluating God's plan for me. I joined BCS in July of 2021.
What do you feel makes Butler Catholic special?
BCS has a supportive core community that's perfectly positioned to make it a leader of Catholic education in the Pittsburgh Diocese. After nearly 10 years of reporting on both public and private education in Western Pennsylvania, I've come to believe proactive communication is imperative to an effective, functioning school. As a member of the BCS leadership team, my goal is to build bridges of communication between staff, students, and families.
